Creating a compelling startup culture needs to be deliberate.  Grit Labs will serve as a sounding board for the founding/executive team with a focus on team building, hiring, setting milestones, managing deliverables, and executing partnerships.

Jennifer Gill Roberts – Founder

Jennifer Gill Roberts is a Silicon Valley native, startup investor, repeat entrepreneur and former hardware engineer.  She has a passion for launching start-ups, both for-profit and non-profit.

Prior to founding Grit Labs, Jennifer co-founded RallyOn, a wellness gaming startup.  She was a founder and Managing Partner at Maven Venture Partners and a General Partner at top tier venture capital firm, Sevin Rosen Funds for over a decade. Prior to her career in venture, Jennifer led product and technical efforts at Apple, HP, and Sun Microsystems. 

Jennifer is an active Stanford alum and a mentor at Stanford’s StartX incubator, the Stanford Graduate School of Business Venture Studio and the Institute for Computational Math and Engineering at the School of Engineering. She’s also on the West Coast Advisory Board for the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Indiana University.  

Jennifer founded the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (now known as Watermark) and continues to mentor young women in technical fields. She is passionate about STEM education and entrepreneurial opportunities for girls and underrepresented minorities. 

Education: BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Stanford respectively. MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. 

Interests: home design, scuba diving, reading fiction, cooking, travel, and Stanford football.
